Mundi Drummers is taking a rest until further notice and there are no longer any Monday night workshops.  Please ignore any adverts in the local paper which suggest we are still running Monday night workshops.  

Performances

The Mundi Drummers performance group, now called The Mundi After is available for festivals, parties and other events.  Some new drummers have joined the group and we have some wicked new tribal beats from across the African continent!  Contact tony@mundidrummers.org for booking details.

About Mundi Drummers

Mundi Drummers are a hand drumming/percussion group based in Sheffield. Our activities are based around weekly sessions which are open to all. We also organise workshops with visting teachers from time to time.

None of the group are teachers, we just exchange and practice rhythms in a very relaxed, informal environment. We focus mainly on drumming and percussion from West and Southern Africa but welcome the opportunity to explore rhythms from other parts of the world

Mundi Drummers was set up in 1997 with the aid of a lottery grant which funded the purchase of djembes, congas and percussion and subsidised a series of workshops by experienced teachers aimed at all abilities.

The group performs regularly at local festivals and other events throughout the area.
